Mrs. Norberg

Welcome to another exciting week in Room 22! 🌼 As we embrace the beauty of spring, we’re thrilled to share all the wonderful activities and learning experiences that have blossomed in our classroom. Let’s dive right in!

March

March has been a whirlwind of fun as we celebrate St. Patrick's Day! 🍀 The students are enjoying various activities that highlighted the spirit of the holiday. Including sorting lucky charms, counting coins, and building rainbows. We are also so excited to kick off RESPECT Week, running from March 24-28, where we focused on kindness and understanding in our school community.

In our lessons, we are exploring maps, learning about different places in Cranston. We also have been watching the weather, which is changing beautifully as spring approaches! Everyday we ask the question "Is it a lamb or a lion day today?" 🌦️ Our phonics focus included the letters M, A, T, and P, helping our learners build their skills.

April

Looking ahead, we’re excited to dive into the world of Spring Animals! 🐣 The students will learn about various animals and their habitats. We’ll also explore the theme of Animals in their Homes, where students will discover how different animals live and grow. Our phonics focus will shift to the letters C, S, I, and D, continuing to strengthen our reading foundations.

Our 3rd and 4th graders will begin working on the Dynamic Learning Maps Assessment as well. More information will be coming soon!

Things to remember

As we move forward, please remember to encourage your child to share what they learn about spring animals at home! 🐾 Also, mark your calendars for RESPECT Week activities, as we’ll be engaging in some special projects that promote kindness and respect.

Until next time!

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our classroom! 🌷 We’re looking forward to another week filled with learning, laughter, and growth. Let’s make this spring season a memorable one together!
