Welcome to another exciting trimester in Mr. Croteau's K-5 Music class! 🎶 We’ve been having a blast exploring the world of music, and I can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to and what’s coming next. Let’s dive right in!
Last Trimester
In our musical journey last trimester, each grade level made wonderful strides!
- Kindergarten: Our little musicians demonstrated steady beat in a variety of fun ways! 🥁
- 1st Grade: Students showcased their ability to demonstrate and describe a variety of musical contrasts. 🎵
- 2nd Grade: They echoed and performed grade-level appropriate rhythmic and melodic patterns with enthusiasm! 🎤
- 3rd Grade: Our 3rd graders identified and performed grade-level rhythms and pitches using standard notation. 🎼
- 4th Grade: They recognized and identified rhythm and pitch using standard notation, showing great progress! 🎶
- 5th Grade: Our 5th graders excelled in recognizing, identifying, and performing rhythms and pitches using standard notation. 🌟
Second Trimester
Looking ahead, we have some exciting activities planned for next week!
- Kindergarten: We will continue to demonstrate the steady beat in a variety of ways! 🥁
- 1st Grade: Students will further explore and describe a variety of musical contrasts. 🎵
- 2nd Grade: They will echo and perform grade-level appropriate rhythmic and melodic patterns. 🎤
- 3rd Grade: Our 3rd graders will identify and perform grade-level rhythms and pitches using standard notation. 🎼
- 4th Grade: They will create and perform simple rhythms and melodies using standard notation. They will also be learning how to play the ukulele. 🎶
- 5th Grade: Our 5th graders will also create and perform simple rhythms and melodies using standard notation. They will also be learning how to play the ukulele. 🌟
