Physical Education

Grades K-2:
During Trimester 2, students had a blast engaging in winter-themed games, bowling, striking with balloons, using the parachute, and practicing soccer and basketball skills. They continue to develop spatial awareness, cooperation, sportsmanship, and locomotor skills daily!

Grades 3-5:
Students explored various skills in Trimester 2, focusing on spike ball, basketball, volleyball, and the parachute. Fifth graders also enjoyed kickball on Fridays.

 

Looking Ahead to Trimester 3:

  • Grades K-2: Students will participate in jump rope, scoops and wiffle balls, throwing and catching, track and field, playground games, and fitness games.
  • Grades 3-5: Students will engage in jump rope, Frisbee, track and field, physical fitness, tennis, and wiffle ball.

Health

Grades K-2:
In Trimester 2, units covered included hygiene, illness prevention, dental health, and heart health.

Grades 3-5:
Students learned about hygiene, illness prevention, medicine safety, and the circulatory system.

Looking Ahead to Trimester 3:

  • Grades K-2: Students will focus on physical fitness, sleep hygiene, nutrition, water safety, sun safety, and bike safety.
  • Grades 3-5: Students will learn about heart disease, stress, physical fitness, nutrition, tobacco prevention and vaping (grade 5), and digital citizenship.
