5th Grade - Mrs. Colapietro & Mrs. Volpe - Newsletter

Welcome to another exciting month coming up in 5th Grade with Mrs. Colapietro & Mrs. Volpe! 🎉 We are thrilled to share all the wonderful things that will be happening in our classrooms. Let’s dive right in!

In May/June:

Our students worked very diligently when taking their RICAS Math test. We are so proud of their attention to detail and the effort they put into their work!

Get ready for an action-packed few weeks ahead! Students will take the NGSA test on Thursday, May 8th. Please ensure your child has a nutritious breakfast and arrives at school on time.

In math, we will continue solving real-world problems involving symmetric figures on the coordinate plane and solving the area of figures with fractional side lengths. In reading, we will be diving into novels alongside our Wonders Anthology.

In Social Studies, we are learning about the reasons behind the colonists' rebellion against Britain, including the Stamp Act, Townshend Acts, Intolerable Acts, and the Boston Tea Party. Students will also write an opinion essay on which act they believe was most significant in causing the American Revolution. 📝

  • 5/9/25: 5th Grade Dodgeball Tournament 🏐
  • 5/16/25: Spring Pictures 📸
