❄️ Welcome to Our Winter Wonderland in Grade 1! ❄️

Hello, wonderful families of Grade 1 with Mrs. Manwaring and Mrs. Ferranti! As the snowflakes start to fall and the days get cozier, we’re excited to share all the cool things our little learners have been up to. From exploring the magic of light and sound to navigating maps and discovering new words, our classroom has been buzzing with curiosity and joy. Let’s dive into the frosty fun and update you on our adventures in learning.

Adventures in Learning ⛄️

Writing: Our young authors have been busy crafting informational writing pieces, sharing facts and details like true experts! Math: We continue our journey through place value, helping students understand the magic behind numbers and their positions. Social Studies: We are exploring maps and directions, and had heartwarming discussions about holidays and traditions from around the world. Science: Our scientists are investigating the wonders of light and sound, discovering how they travel and affect what we see and hear. ELA: We are practicing long vowels, making reading and spelling even more fun and effective!

What’s Coming Up Next Month? 🎒

Get ready for some exciting news — we’ll be announcing a special field trip soon! It’s the perfect way to keep the winter spirit alive and learning outside the classroom. Plus, don’t forget to enjoy a cozy and restful winter break with your family and friends. We can’t wait to see everyone back, refreshed and ready for more adventures!
