Thank you for visiting Woodridge Elementary School’s webpage! We are a K-5 elementary school, proudly serving Cranston’s children, and pridefully known as the #homeoftheWizards. As Woodridge’s Principal, I am also the lead learner, and take great pride in learning alongside a wonderful staff - comprised of many seasoned educators - and curious, enthusiastic students. At Woodridge, learning is fun, and we are dedicated to reaching the highest levels of achievement, while teaching our students the importance of collaboration, citizenship, creativity and critical thinking.
Our school mission is to educate ALL of our learners, realizing each of their personal strengths, while maintaining high expectations. We believe in providing student leadership experiences so that our children are developing the independence necessary to succeed in the next chapter of education. With a focus on implementing Cranston’s core curriculum with fidelity, our faculty is dedicated to providing an educational experience that is both engaging and enjoyable. We are devoted to working with all of our partners, and most importantly, our Woodridge families!
One of the components that makes us special is our Parent Teacher Organization, and its connection to helping realize our school’s mission and vision. Parents are a critical partner in our work, and we value the support and partnership of Woodridge parents and families. We know that when parents, students and staff work together, students reach their highest heights. We are committed to partnering with you, our Woodridge families.
I welcome you to join our PTO if you haven’t already, where you may get involved in the events and volunteering opportunities we have all the year through. Woodridge’s PTO helps to provide field trip opportunities, special school programs and performances, and critical student resources such as technology and other tools for academic learning to our students.
